FC 26 v1.6.4 patch notes: FUT, Career Mode and PC fixes

A focused maintenance update, not a gameplay rebalance

EA released FC 26 Title Update v1.6.4 on July 14, 2026. The patch concentrates on everyday usability, presentation, stability and a specific PC graphics-setting problem. The published notes do not describe a major gameplay tuning pass, a competitive-balance overhaul or changes to Ultimate Team pack odds. Players should therefore expect a cleaner experience in several menus and modes rather than a different on-pitch meta.

Ultimate Team navigation and item-management fixes

The clearest quality-of-life change affects the New Content page in Football Ultimate Team. After opening linked content such as the Store, Squad Building Challenges or Objectives, the interface now returns to New Content instead of leaving players to retrace the same menu path. EA also fixed a possible disconnection caused by using Exchange Duplicate Items with stadium items and corrected some overlays that failed to display player-item images.

Career Mode, presentation and stability corrections

Career Mode receives a targeted immersion fix: national anthems should once again play before affected men's international matches. The update also refreshes a selection of club crests, text, hairstyles, face scans, tattoos and kits, while addressing a stability issue that could occur in unspecified situations. These are presentation and reliability changes, not new Career systems or competition formats.

RTX 3050 recommended graphics settings

On PC, some systems using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 could load an incorrect recommended graphics preset. Version 1.6.4 corrects that recommendation. It does not promise higher frame rates or better image quality for every RTX 3050 computer, because performance still depends on the processor, memory, laptop power profile, drivers, resolution and the settings chosen by the player.

What to check after installing v1.6.4

Confirm that the game reports the latest version before testing the affected areas. In FUT, open New Content, follow a Store, SBC or Objectives link, then check the return path. Career players can load a men's international fixture and listen for the anthem sequence. RTX 3050 users should review the recommended preset rather than assume it is automatically ideal. If a problem remains, record the platform, mode, time and exact error before reporting it.
